The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team dropped it's second match of the season on Saturday to host University of Rio Grande in a night match.

The Red Storm showed why they are the #4 rated team in the NAIA, unleashing 32 shots and putting 16 of them on frame, forcing SAU freshman goalkeeper Ryan Stephens into 12 saves in his second outing of the year.

Rio Grande scored goals in the 30th, 70th, 74th and 80th minutes to run away with a 4-0 decision.

Spring Arbor managed just two shots in the contest.

"This weekend was a tough test for us," commented SAU head coach Chad Hammond.  "We have a young team and we will continue to get better as the season goes on."

Spring Arbor drops to 0-2 on the year while the Red Storm improves to 2-0.

The Cougars will face off with the Warriors of Rochester College on Monday in Pontiac, MI.
