SPRING ARBOR, MI - The Men's tennis team will open the post
season with a single goal in mind; to repeat as the Crossroads Champions and to
return to the NAIA National Championship Tournament in Mobile, AL next spring.
Last season, the Cougars went through the regular season and
swept through the playoffs undefeated to earn their way to the National
Tournament. This year was a slightly
different story with disappointing 4-5 losses to both Grace College and Marian
University. But right now, none of that
matters as the winner of the Crossroads Tournament will represent the League at
the NAIA National Championship.
The Cougars will open the tournament on Tuesday at home
against Huntington University. The time
of the match will be following the singles plays of the Women's team who are
hosting Taylor University which starts at 2:00.
Both men and women will play the doubles matches at the same time.
The men's singles will follow the doubles.
The winner of the men's match will play the winner of the #1
seed Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats and the #8 seed Bethel Pilots.
