KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the men's tennis rankings and on the strength of their second consecutive Crossroads League Tournament Championship, SAU's men's tennis team achieved a 21st ranking in the opening poll.
According to the NAIA, tennis is a spring sport. The Crossroads League plays their conference season in the fall which the Cougars earned a 4th seed entering the tournament and captured the tournament championship with wins over Huntington University (7-2), Indiana Wesleyan (5-3), and Grace College (5-3) in the Championship.
Overall, Spring Arbor finished the fall portion of their season with a 10-2 record, and was 6-2 in Crossroads League play.
The men will open the spring portion of their schedule on February 18th against Trine University on the road in Angola, IN.
