GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Spring Arbor's men's tennis team made it a clean sweep over Cornerstone University on Monday afternoon  with a 9-0 win over the Golden Eagles.

After taking all three doubles matches and a 3-0 lead into singles, three singles matches were straight sets, and the other three went into the third set.

David Darling (1 Singles), Matt Wojtkowski (4S), and John Hall (5S) all won in straight sets.  Aaron Mayes (2S), Nathan Scholten (3S), and Michael Darling (6S) all went into the third set, outlasting their opponents.

It was a much needed day for the Cougars for a few reasons.  To play outside as they prepare for the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament on Thursday and Friday.  The 9-0 win will also give the Cougars momentum heading into the post season's National Tournament.

Spring Arbor has already qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in May.
