MARION, IN – The Lady Cougar tennis team's season came to an end on Thursday afternoon on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University as Spring Arbor lost a hard fought match with Cedarville University 5-2. 

Playing in the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament with the winner to face IWU in the final, the Yellow Jackets took two of three doubles matches and took three of the six singles to advance to the finals.

The Cougars #1 doubles team of Kristin DeBruyn and Hope Roelofs won a 8-4 decision over Cedarville's Brooke Johnson and Joy Dice.

Roelofs was the lone winner in singles taking part in both of the Cougars points.  Roelofs won at #2 singles in a rout 6-0, 6-1.

The Cougars record is complete at 11-8 for the 2012-13 season and marks an end to the 21 year career of head coach, Peggy Calderone.  You can read about Calderone's retirement by clicking HERE.
