FINDLAY, Ohio – After turning in an outstanding effort at Goshen last week, freshman AJ Gruttadauro turned it up another notch at the University of Findlay Classic and Elite Throws Competition on Saturday.

Gruttadauro crushed his previous career-best time in the 3000 meter race walk by 33 seconds as he crossed the finish line in 13:20.21. The Brockport, N.Y. native finished second out of 12 competitors in the event.

Gruttadauro has already punched his ticket to the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships, and he currently ranks second nationally in the event.

Spring Arbor returns to action at the Hillsdale College Wide Track Classic on Feb. 3-4.
