Second year Coach Dave Mayotte leads Spring Arbor University's golf program 14 years after playing for the Cougars under legendary coach Bill Bockwitz. As a player for the Cougars, Mayotte was a seven time tournament champion and a member of two NCCAA National Championship teams.

A 1996 graduate of Spring Arbor, Coach Mayotte's goal is to return the golf program competing at the National level. Mayotte's love of the Lord, experience at Spring Arbor, and his life-long love and knowledge of the game of golf will provide the young men in the golf program the leadership they will need to compete on the course, on campus, and in life.

Previously at SAU, Coach Mayotte worked as the Sport Information Director, and Director of Development in the Advancement office. Most recently, Mayotte was on staff at Starr Commonwealth juvenile facility in Albion, MI.

"I have loved Spring Arbor University since the moment I stepped on this campus in 1991. Having the opportunity to attend SAU to play golf forever changed my life. It is such an honor for me to come home and lead the golf team at this time in my life."

Mayotte has been married to his wife Kelly for 17 years and lives in Spring Arbor Township. They have two boys, Tony and Timmy and one daughter, Rachel. They are members of the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church.
